An Audience of One
Scripture:
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ." - Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT)
Devotional:
In a world driven by likes, recognition, and external validation, it's easy to feel unseen when your work feels hidden or ordinary but the truth is, you're working for an Audience of One—God Himself. Heaven sees what no one on earth applauds. God counts every small act of obedience, every unseen sacrifice, every moment you chose integrity when compromise would have been easier.
Heaven keeps score differently. Earth counts followers and fame. Heaven counts faithfulness and obedience.
When it feels like no one notices, remind yourself: Heaven is watching. God is keeping record. Your labor is not in vain.
Your “yes” to God matters. Whether you're teaching kids, leading meetings, sending encouragement, or serving behind the scenes, it's important to Him.
Journal Prompt:
Who have I been trying to impress lately? What would shift if I remembered God is my true audience?
Action Step:
Do one act of kindness or service this week that no one but God sees. Keep it between you and Him.
